The Little Cedars Purpose Statement

Our fundamental purpose is to create a student-centered learning community that welcomes everyone as we educate students to live in a democracy.

Our Statement of Commitment

  • Actively seek and structure community involvement in the learning process
  • Intentionally meet the evolving needs of our learners
  • Build a culture of caring where all members feel connected, valued, and supported
  • Engage in and model respectful daily interactions
  • Serve students as a collaborative team, sharing common language, methods, and  expectations

Absence Reporting

If your child is going to be absent or arriving late to school, please call our Absentee Reporting Line at 360-563-2920.  For your convenience, this is a 24-hour attendance message line.

Parent Visitors and Volunteers

Parents, volunteers and visitors are always welcome at Little Cedars.  When entering the campus, please sign in at the front desk in the office and pick up a visitor identification badge to wear. You can drop it off in the office when you sign out.

A completed Volunteer Application Packet is required for any field trip chaperone or person volunteering in a classroom at Little Cedars. This packet includes a Washington State Patrol I.D. check. A packet can be obtained in the office and is good for two years.

Variances

The Snohomish School District is currently accepting Choice Transfers (variances) and In-District Transfers for the 2015-16 school year. If your student is on an In-District or Choice Transfer (variance from another district) please complete a new form for the 2015-16 school year. All decisions are based on capacity. Please ensure your students continued attendance by completing an application, if you have not already done so. This is an annual requirement.In-District Transfer forms can be found on the website at sno.wednet.edu  or at the District Office. If you live outside of the Snohomish School District, please go to your home district and request a Choice Transfer.  If you have questions, please contact Maxine Marshall, Enrollment & Skyward Services at 360-563-7240
